Description

A peaceful setting in fields full of native grasses in the Paradise Valley - 480 acres of public land right behind the house!
Just minutes from world famous Chico Hot Springs - pools, fine dining, music and dancing.
The home has satellite internet for your use. Note: The internet is not suitable for Netflix or downloading etc. It will be fine for emails and surfing the web but the plan doesn’t have enough data to stream video. Due to the home's location, faster internet is not an option.

The home has three bedrooms and two and a half baths.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: This spacious and open home features exposed timbers, lofted ceilings, beautiful finish touches and some truly amazing mountain views.

BEDROOMS AND BATHS: The home has three bedrooms and two and a half baths. The main part of the house is all on the second level. A flight of stairs takes you up to the living area - where you will find the master bedroom with a king size bed. Attached is a beautifully tiled bathroom with a huge double shower. This bathroom is the only bathroom on this level, so it is also accessed off the living room. The other two bedrooms are on the lower level. One bedroom has a king size bed and an attached bathroom and the bunk room has one queen futon and a single futon in a lofted area. This room also has shelves full of books for your enjoyment. There is also a sauna and a half bath on this level of the home.

KITCHEN: This complete kitchen has everything you will need to prepare any meals you desire during your visit. It is a long kitchen area, separated from the living area by a tall counter with a couple of barstools - for hanging out to chat with the cook! Off to the side is a dining table that seats six. Patio doors off the dining area lead out to a beautiful deck area for barbecues, or just relaxing and taking in the views.

LIVING ROOM: The living room has a cozy leather sofa for snuggling up in front of the woodstove on chilly evenings. The home has some books and games for entertainment, plus there is a television with a DVD for watching movies. The home does not have television reception.

SETTING, ACREAGE, VIEWS: The cabin is located on 20 acres in the Paradise Valley, between the small towns of Emigrant and Pray. Views are of the rugged Absaroka Mountains, and Emigrant Peak - which is just above the main attraction in this part of the valley, Chico Hot Springs.

CLOSEST TOWN AND AIRPORT: It's about 4 miles to the town of Emigrant, which has a small general store, saloon, cafe, post office, and ice cream store. Livingston and Gardiner are both 20-30 minutes from the home. Gallatin Field Airport in Bozeman is the closest, and is about one hour away.

ACTIVITIES NEARBY: Chico Hot Springs, or "Chico" as the name is shortened by locals, is open to the public, and is a must-do while you are here. Go for some great food, a relaxing soak in the hot springs, or some fun local music and a great dancing scene. Besides Chico, there is fishing on the Yellowstone River just a few minutes away, hiking and mountain biking on nearby trails, horseback riding, golf, skiing, tours of Yellowstone National Park, and everything that the towns of Livingston, Bozeman and Gardiner have to offer.

Loved This House

We absolutely loved this house! We had 3 adult couples and each felt like we were on our own vacation because the house layout was so spacious. The house was stocked with so many things we weren't expecting. We fixed a few meals and were thrilled with utensils and the spice drawer! We went to Yellowstone a few days and stayed at the house and enjoyed the surroundings on the patio a few days. The view from the house is so beautiful, you really don't have to leave. Every evening we would watch deer come. We must have arrived at the right time of year because when we first got there the mountains had no snow on the peaks but within the week many were snow covered. Chico Springs has a wonderful buffet on Sunday mornings, loved the Pray Cafe for breakfast. Some of the group went white water rafting. We flew in from Indiana to the Bozeman airport, the drive was easy and less than an hour. We had a wonderful trip and have memories for a lifetime.
The best part about my job is reading each one of our customers joyful experiences they had while on vacation! This is one of the most joyful that I've read. I am so grateful that we at Mountain Home were able to make this a special experience for you both and your friends. -MHteam

Awesome views, awesome house

Great location, the 360 degree views were amazing. Only a half hour from the North Entrance. The local gas station/grocery store has practically everything you could need including fresh produce. The house sets up on a hill, and has been very well taken care of. The vaulted ceilings and huge windows were very cool. We has no issues, we really enjoyed our stay and will likely return for another stay. The house also seemed was much bigger than the pictures lead on. Plenty of room for 6 adults to comfortably spread out after long days cooped up in the car. The service and property managers were great to work with also.
Riley, thank you for your kind words! We love the stunning views Chico Peak has to offer. It sounds like you had a wonderful trip and are ready to book another, let us help you with that! See you again soon. -Mountain Home Team
