Who are we?
For over twenty years Mountain Home Vacation Rentals has been in the business of helping travelers plan memorable trips to one of the most beautiful parts of the world, and helping homeowners care for their property and optimize its value. We have homes that have been with us for ten or more years, and we have guests who come back to stay year after year.
We are very selective about the properties we work with. They must meet strict criteria including, and not least importantly, whether we would want to spend our own precious vacation time there. We are a value added guest service business, wanting our guests to feel like just that…guests.
We get rave guest reviews, which makes us prouder than anything else we do.
We feel lucky to live in this beautiful part of the world and to be able to make a living here, as well. We don’t take our blessings lightly. For that reason we are committed to tithing a percentage of our earnings to local and other groups that make this world a better place. To see who we support, check out the links below.
Suzy Hall Suzy founded Mountain Home in 1995, after working for a number of years in the adventure travel industry. She thought it would be a great stay-at-home mom sort of business. Ha! That didn’t work out as planned and she’s had a great staff since almost day one. Suzy’s a New Englander who’s lived in the Rockies for 35 years. Suzy’s husband Kim runs Greater Yellowstone Guides, and together they are trying to keep up with their two teenagers.
Lisa Orr Our Reservations Manager Lisa is Montana born and bred. She grew up a couple of hours east of here in Laurel, and went to school a couple of hours west at the University of Montana. She doesn’t love our winters but she lives to fish on our area rivers spring through fall. Lisa is so good at what she does that she’s been named for multiple years to Conde Nast Traveler’s Top Villa Specialists List. Lisa and her partner Ron are also parents to two teeny boppers.
Allison Konkel We have our very own rodeo queen! Business Manager Allison came to Montana from her home in Colorado to ride on the Montana State University rodeo team. She rode and roped – and majored in accounting. She’s a smarty, so she can do our books and schedule housekeeping, and still keep an eye on the rest of us. In her free time she and husband Ted are wrangling two littlies.
Lisa Marie Wirchansky Lisa Marie is a southern gal, which you’ll pick up on as soon as she answers the phone. Our Guest Services Manager, she is so great at taking care of all your questions and making you feel like royalty. She’s been taking care of travelers for years – before she came to Mountain Home, she ran a riding program at a guest ranch in Big Sky. Yes, she’s horsey, too, but these days she and PJ are also wrangling children – a one year old son.
Seanna Farrow Seanna, Administrative Assistant, is our young pup. She’s the one who gets to go out at night, have big adventures every weekend, and still get to work on Monday morning. She’s a newbie to Montana and she’s wasting no time exploring and checking out everything the state has to offer. She’s also a darn good photographer – you’ll find some of her pictures on these pages!
