Flying Eagle House

Flying Eagle House sits on a sunny hillside overlooking the breathtaking Paradise Valley.

Spacious home sleeps 8 people.

A gorgeous 40-minute drive to the north entrance of Yellowstone National Park.

This home has central air-conditioning – a rarity in Montana!

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: This lovely hillside home in the heart of the Paradise Valley gives visitors easy access to Yellowstone National Park, the Yellowstone River, Chico Hot Springs, and other fantastic area activities. A large second story deck provides stunning views across to the Absaroka Mountains and down to the bends of the Yellowstone River below, making it a super place to return to and relax after a day of adventures.

BEDROOMS AND BATHS: The main level has a master bedroom with a king size bed and sliding glass doors to the deck so you can wake up to spectacular mountain views. The master bedroom also has a spacious connected bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub and shower. A second bedroom on the main level has a queen size bed (and is attached to a small office area in case you need to get some work done during your stay!) There is a half bath just across the hall from the second bedroom. There are two bedrooms downstairs, one with a queen size bed and the other with two twin beds. These two rooms attach to a shared full bath with tub and shower.

KITCHEN: A spacious, open kitchen with new appliances awaits you! It’s stocked with all the tools you’ll need for a great stay, including a ceramic top stove and standard kitchen appliances like a dishwasher and microwave. There is a nice bar counter for chatting with the cook, a mobile butcher’s block for easier food preparation and additional counter space, and the open dining area is just off to the side. There is a gas barbecue on the deck for outdoor grilling.

DINING AREA: The dining table right off the kitchen will seat eight comfortably, and there are two seats at the bar for overflow. The dining area has a sliding door that opens to the back deck -- a great place to enjoy the views and your morning coffee or an evening cocktail.

LIVING AREAS: The great room has huge windows looking out to the east on the beautiful mountain and Paradise Valley views and is combined with the dining area and kitchen for one large gathering space. There is a comfortable leather sofa, two cozy chairs, and a 55” wall-mounted HD TV, DVD player and satellite service. A second living area, a downstairs family room, includes a sofa, 38” Flat Screen TV, two chairs and sliding glass doors leading out to the back yard. This downstairs living area also includes a piano and guitar for the musicians in the family, and a bar and kitchenette off to the side, making it another great gathering place in this home.

SETTING, ACREAGE, AND VIEWS: Flying Eagle affords incredible views both toward the high mountain peaks of the Absaroka and Gallatin Mountains, and down to the winding Yellowstone River. The yard is landscaped with trees and a well cared-for lawn, making it a great place for the kids to play outside. You’ll likely see deer feeding in the field below the house and possibly even a bald eagle or two!

CLOSEST TOWN AND AIRPORT: You are just 5 minutes away from the Emigrant General Store for basic groceries, 30 minutes from Livingston, and about an hour away from Bozeman’s Gallatin Field Airport.

We have stayed at 4 homes throughout the country in the last 4 years and this was by far the nicest. The view is awesome. The house is stocked with almost everything you could hope for which saves you a lot of time running to a store to get things that you may have forgotten. Everything is clean and looks new. We had a practically tame mule deer doe that liked to bed down in the shade of the deck. The only thing I would add if I owned the home would be more lighting ie. a light in the shower, over the kitchen table, and over the range, but that is just my preference or opinion.

We have rented a few different places in paradise valley now and the Flying Eagle House is a great choice. Not to far off the highway and close to the few amenities in Emigrant. The condition of the house is really good and the deck was really nice. Also was very nice to have AC it gets really hot in that valley! Would definitely stay here again.

My wife, two kids (ages 6 and 3) and mother stayed here for a week. It was absolutely phenomenal!!! Beautiful house, yard, views, etc. The house was so fully and completely stocked, like no other vacation house I have stayed in before. It far exceeded our expectations. Thank you for opening this house to others to enjoy Montana, Yellowstone and all the other things the area has to offer!
Fantastic views, awesome house, wonderful vacation!!

Our family of 8 (children are young adults) LOVED this home and property. The view from the balcony was breath-taking and the 35 min drive through Paradise Valley to Yellowstone each day...captivating. We found everything we needed to make our stay easy and comfortable: a well-stocked kitchen, plenty of bathroom linens, a great lay-out for our family, and even extra coolers for our use in the park. I usually end up cleaning after checking in to a rental home, but not this one! Everything was spotless and well-maintained! We never had any issues or need to contact Mountain Home during our stay, but I was confident that they would respond based on our communication before the trip. Would definitely stay here again!

Our stay at Flying Eagle House couldn't have been more perfect. The house is beautiful and we had plenty of room. It was well stocked and we enjoyed many sunsets on the deck. After being in the car all day, returning to the comfort of the house was very inviting. We will definitely be back for years to come.

This house was awesome! All the details were laid out nicely in a welcome packet provided by Mountain Vacation Homes. There were no questions unanswered and the office staff was very supportive and responsive to answering all questions. We were even paid a visit by the owner of the home and his main concern was making sure were were pleased with our stay. The house provided all 5 of us separate sleeping areas and enough space for all of us to enjoy some downtime and quiet time. The views from the wrap around deck were incredible and we had daily frequent visitors of deer running throughout the valley. Thanks for providing us a place to enjoy family time and for creating memories that will last us a lifetime.

Wow, what a view. This home was clean and well maintained. The washer and dryer were so convenient, and the deer that visited every morning kept the kids excited. The home is about a half hour north of the park entrance, but to us it was worth it.
Comfortable home, magnificent views, great kitchen

Two families with teenagers, great layout, washer and dryer was nice to have, did lots of cooking and bbqing, everything was there, just bring your food. bedrooms were comfortable and views were amazing. Nice and quiet place when we were done with activities. We would also recommend Wildflour Bakery and Follow Yer Nose BBQ down the road, Delicious!! River Source for rafting, Jimmy runs a great River Raft business and Holt was a fun, informative guide

We stayed 3 days in the Flying Eagle House in Emigrant, MT, when we visited Yellowstone national park. The house was spacious and very much to our liking. The surrounding land scape was just breathtaking. And the quiet area was just perfect for relaxing. The only sad part was that we couldn't stay longer. Since we didn't knew our schedule very much in advance, we booked the house just a few days before. Mountain Home - Montana Vacation Rentals was extremely supportive on getting all the necessary paper work done, even over the weekend. I can't thank the team enough for this.
