Description

The Hyalite House provides access to the best that Montana has to offer. The master bedroom contains a queen sized bed, its own fireplace and a spacious en-suite with a jacuzzi bath tub. The second bedroom also has a queen sized bed and the third bedroom has a bunk bed with double beds on top and bottom with a pull out twin sized trundle bed underneath as well. The total sleeping capacity is 6 adults, or 4 adults and 5 kids. The fully equipped kitchen has all the appliances and utensils you are used to at home (including dishwasher and microwave).

Dogs are considered with owner approval and a fee. Please inform us at the time of booking of the number and age/weight/breed of the dog(s) you are planning to bring.

The Hyalite House sits on 20 acres in Emigrant, Montana and has direct access to 1,100 feet of unspoiled Yellowstone River frontage (1/4 mile walk through the pasture) with a picnic area at the river’s edge. There are also two private fully stocked (with trout) ponds to enjoy your own private Montana fishing getaway. There is also a public boat and raft launch 1/4 mile from the house. Stand on the deck and enjoy the views of the Yellowstone River, Hyalite Peak and Emigrant Peak along with the wildlife that also calls this valley home.

We are also located 2.5 miles away from the world famous Chico Hot Springs Spa and Resort. Chico is famous for its hot springs and its 4 star restaurant which gives the visitor a true rustic yet elegant dining experience. If you just want to visit the hot spring and grab a simple meal afterwards then step into the Poolside Grill for pizza or a burger. Visit the Saloon at night when Chico hosts local musicians as well as musicians from around the world. You may also inquire about horseback riding, rafting and hiking at the Chico office.

If this is your first visit to Montana and you want to discover what it has to offer, get in your car and drive 30 miles south to Gardiner, MT the only entrance to Yellowstone that is open year-round. Tour Yellowstone and visit the shops, information centers, and museums. When you are done venture out into other areas such as Grand Teton National Park, Jackson Hole, Cody, or the Beartooth Wilderness.

For those days when you want to stay close to home, Emigrant General Store is close by and has all the basics and more. Livingston is 25 miles away and has two large grocery food stores as well as a health food store. The larger city of Bozeman is 50 miles away and has groceries, a mall for shopping, a large movie theater, as well as several restaurants fit for the family.

Whether you want to get your hands dirty and explore Montana from the highway or the hiking trail, or go fishing, hunting, or rafting, or if you are just looking for a place to sit, relax and enjoy the view - The Hyalite House is truly the perfect Montana get away.

Great Experience!

Wonderful the hyalite house is an absolutely stunning house. So comfortable and welcoming and the views are to die for. our host owner Mr Smith was very gracious when he came down to meet us. The 3rd evening at the house, he came down to inform us that there was a grizzly had been seen in the immediate area. We hoped to get to see it (from a distance) and were very excited. We were there to hunt agates in the Yellowstone River and found it to be very easy to get to river access 5 minutes down the road. The weather was iffy half of the week so a run through the northern half of Yellowstone Park and a soaking afternoon in the Yellowstone Hot Springs filled up some bad weather days. The deer were prolific just off the front deck every day all day long. The scenery was stunning out of the front window. I just can't say enough good about our time there. THANK YOU FOR THE GREAT EXPERIENCE AT THE HYALITE HOUSE!

Thank you for sharing this beautiful home with us! Absolutely beautiful! The house has everything you need to enjoy your stay in Paradise Valley. 2 ponds and access to the River perfect for anyone wanting to relax. Waking up to see the wildlife in the backyard was super cool! If your looking for a nice Basecamp for your journey it's about 30 miles from the entrance of Yellowstone but it was perfect for after a day in the park come back and relax on the beautiful back porch. We hope to visit again soon.

Hyalite House was a great fit for our family. The space was nice for our 6 adults and we enjoyed breakfasts and dinners on the deck. We appreciated that it was well stocked including with some spices and some condiments. We enjoyed the location in Paradise Valley and spent two beautiful days floating the Yellowstone between Gardiner and Emigrant. A slice of heaven!

We had a wonderful stay at the Hyalite house. The home was stocked with everything we needed, the rooms were set up perfectly for 3 families (2 with small kids), and the property was gorgeous. We took full advantage of fishing in the Yellowstone River and caught a lot of trout. We caught one fish from the ponds, but that was a lot more challenging. The home was close to YNP, a quick trip into Livingston of Gardiner for dinner, and twice we walked to the bakery in Emigrant. I can’t say enough good things about this property!

We had a fantastic stay at the Hyalite House! The house is everything and more that is pictured on the website. The views from the windows and deck are breathtaking! And everything you need for a comfortable vacation is available in this well-appointed home. A bonus is that the owners live right next door and are incredibly kind and helpful-- going above and beyond to ensure you have a great time. The location proved to be excellent as well as it provided easy access to Yellowstone National Park and Bozeman. The town where the house is located is also great as several restaurants are within a few miles. We loved our Montana vacation and highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a wonderful family getaway!

I just can't praise this house enough. We usually rent homes when we get to travel, and I don't think we've ever rented one that was this comfortable, home-y and well equipped. We had absolutely everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Not to mention how incredible the views are out the living room window! We enjoyed hiking, fishing and bird-watching right here at the property without even having to drive. We hope to come back!

We had a great time at this house! The house was well equipped for our family gathering. With the flooding and inclement weather, the property owner checked in on us as needed. We especially loved the location. We intend to be back and actually have the ability to get into Yellowstone NP.

This property was lovely, very clean and very well maintained and well apportioned with everything you would want except, of course, your food. The landscaping is premier as well. When we landed in Bozeman we stopped at the Walmart for paper products, chlorox wipes, dishwashing supplies and the like but none were required; all supplied (even bear spray). The home has 3 decks, all with furnishings -- we ate breakfast while watching wildlife and the neighbors' 3 horses grazing. The home has a/c, heat, and a gas fireplace and a gas grill. The property is close to the Yellowstone north entrance which was unfortunately closed but we went to the west entrance and enjoyed the park. The host, who lives nextdoor, is a really nice guy and readily available in the case of any issues or questions or just information about the area. The town, Emigrant, is small and very friendly. The views from the home are magnificent. We would definitely go back to this home again; I am looking forward to it next year!

Great house for our family visit to Bozeman for graduation ceremonies at Montana State University. Clean and comfortable! Lots of room for everyone to hang out and enjoy time together and separate spaces when then young adults wanted some time away from the older adults. Hope to get to stay again!
