Description

One of the most private locations you'll find!
Close to Yellowstone National Park and Gardiner, Montana.
Due to the remoteness of this cabin, the internet is limited and not dependable.

BRIEF DESRIPTION: This 2,000 sf custom home is located up Rock Creek Road. You'll have easy access to Hwy. 89 and Yellowstone National Park. The home is 28 miles to the north entrance to Yellowstone National Park!

BEDROOMS/BATHROOMS: This home has three bedrooms, a loft with a futon, and two full bathrooms. On the main level of the home is the bunk room. The bunk bed has a full bed on the bottom and a twin bed on the top. There is also a separate twin bed allowing the room to sleep 4. Upstairs is the master bedroom with a queen size bed and attached bathroom and 180 degree mountain views. There is also a sliding glass door to a private outdoor patio. The bathroom has a beautiful walk-in shower and double sinks. Upstairs there a second bedroom with a queen size bed as well as a futon in the loft to sleep two more guests. The home can accommodate up to eight guests.

KITCHEN/DINING: This fully equipped kitchen has everything you will need to cook up some good meals for the crew. In addition to all the cookware and serving ware you will need, there is a gas grill outside for barbecues. The dining area adjoins the kitchen and living area with a harvest table that will seat up to ten comfortably.

LIVING ROOM: The living room has beautiful leather furniture situated around a gas fireplace. At the corner of the room is a wood burning stove with cozy chairs surrounding it. There is a large TV with satellite service and a gas fireplace to warm the room on a chilly day. With the doors open and ceiling fans on, you’ll enjoy a nice flow of air through the home.

SETTING: Yellowstone Mountain Home is on 20 private hillside acres above the Paradise Valley. There are a few neighbors but they are out of sight. Additionally, the property borders public lands so you can hike right from the house. A small spring fed pond on the property attracts wildlife. Note: We recommend AWD or a 4WD vehicle to access.

TOWN/AIRPORT: It's about 75 miles to Bozeman's Gallatin Field airport. Livingston is about 42 miles from the home.

NEARBY ACTIVITIES: Besides hiking and mountain biking on nearby trails, there is fishing on the Yellowstone River just minutes away, horseback riding, rafting, golf, Yellowstone National Park, and everything that the towns of Livingston and Bozeman have to offer. The homeowners also have left a generous library of information on hiking/fishing access points and many local hiking trails.

Everything You Could Ask For

Had a wonderful time at this property. Upon arrival we were greeted by a herd of elk! The property is clean, well maintained, has great views, and is situated in a secluded area. I do recommend to anyone visiting the property to have a vehicle that is AWD or has a 4WD option. Would definitely stay here again.

Peaceful home away from home

This place was so peaceful and beautiful. We enjoyed our time at this home which was perfect for my family and parents. Ideal location near Yellowstone (even though it was closed). The house was clean and tidy. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook for the family. Sitting outside on the patio, you could hear the breeze through the pines which was soothing. We saw a ton of elk, deer, and feathered friends while staying here. The only drawback was the road up to the house which was rough, windy, and narrow. Once you were at the house however it was wonderful. I would recommend it to anyone who doesn't get motion sick heading up the road.

Gorgeous mountain getaway!

We absolutely LOVED our stay at this beautiful mountain home! The views of the surrounding property were breathtaking. We enjoyed early morning sunrise hikes as well as being greeted by mule deer each morning. The home was fully equipped for us to feed our family in addition to helpful items such as coolers for daytrips and bug and bear spray for our hikes. I would recommend four wheel drive for the road leading up to the house. It was a tad challenging during rainy days. We were very happy we chose this home for our trip!

Beautiful, comfortable home on a lovely piece of property

We loved staying at this beautiful home during a recent trip to Yellowstone National Park! The only down side to the property (and it's minor) is the drive up, which is a trifle steep in places, but nothing our minivan couldn't handle (four-wheel-drive vehicles would do even better). The property on which the house is located is so pretty and very isolated, in a good way; there was beautiful silence and nice mountain breezes, and we were greeted by deer or elk pretty much every day. The house is extremely comfortable and was very clean, with all the amenities we could wish for. We had plans to be up and out early every day, but the house and its surroundings were so comfortable and fun that we ended up hanging out for lots of leisurely mornings, not leaving until noon or 1 p.m. It was a wonderful place to stay and we enjoyed the drive along the river to Yellowstone every day! We'd definitely stay here again and loved our experience.

A very pleasant stay in a picturesque setting

This home was a great choice for our family vacation! We were looking for a place with a comfortable kitchen/dining area and plenty of space for 7-9 adults. The amenities were wonderful and I was pleasantly surprised at how well stocked the kitchen was! The house was clean and in order, and even had some books about MT plantlife/history/etc. The roads up to the property were a bit rough, but...it's the mountains. We had a great stay and would definitely book again.
