Museum of the Rockies

American Computer & Robotics Museum

If you love all things tech, then the American Computer & Robotics Museum (ACRM) is the place for you. It was founded in 1990 and is considered the oldest continually operating museum dedicated to computing history in the world. Exhibits span over 4,000 years of information technology, from ancient clay tablets to early personal computers and robotics. Dr. Edward O. Wilson said that it is “inch for inch, the best museum in the world,” so why don't you stop by and see if you agree?

Gallatin History Museum

For Wild West aficionados and history buffs, you'll be excited that the Gallatin History Museum is the next stop on the museum tour. Located in a restored former county jail on Main Street, the Gallatin History Museum offers a deeper look into southwest Montana’s history. This museum will spark your curiosity and wonder about the past.

The Bozeman Art Museum

If you appreciate fine art, then the last stop on the Bozeman museum tour will delight you. The Bozeman Art Museum (BAM), founded in 2012, is the city's only fine art museum. Even though it is still growing, BAM delivers rotating exhibitions, art classes, lectures, workshops, and outreach programs supporting K–12 students and community learning. The museum is also very proud to platform a diverse range of artists, traditions, and voices. You will leave feeling inspired and awestruck by the talent and beauty showcased here, and you may even want to pick up a paintbrush, yourself.

Day 1

  • 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM: Start at the Museum of the Rockies to explore iconic fossil exhibits and catch a planetarium show.
