MAP Brewing Company

MAP Brewing Company likes to say, “You need a MAP to have an adventure,” and they live up to their name! Their adventurous beers have won over a dozen accolades over the years, with an ever-rotating list of seasonal beers as well as a few year-round favorites. The brewery itself is incredibly warm, spacious, and inviting. And if you’re so lucky as to visit while the weather is good, you’ll see that their patio reigns supreme, with plenty of space and gorgeous views of the mountains in the distance. It’s a fabulous spot to sit back and enjoy a pint!

Must Try: We highly recommend the Patagonia Provisions Kernza Lager, a German-style lager that is a true thirst quencher; or the Party, a Mexican-style lager that is a perfect easy-drinking beer. When it comes to Bozeman breweries with food, MAP has some of the best! We recommend trying the elote dip, falafel sandwich, hopped cheddar burger, or pork katsu sandwich.

Mountains Walking Brewery

This modern brewery is the perfect place to unwind after you’ve had a long, fun day. Designed by local Bozeman architects, you can’t help but marvel at its impeccable interior design, making this a cool and sophisticated spot for a date night. Once you’re there, you’ll discover that one of the many special things about Mountains Walking Brewery is that it uses brewing traditions from all over the world! This includes beers made with living cultures and lower sugar levels. These methods help to create flavor profiles that you’ve never experienced before!

Must Try: The beers on tap change quite often, but we recommend the Chopping Wood Festbier, a nice Oktoberfest-style beer, or the Sky Flowers Tropical IPA, a juicy New England-style Pale Ale. Both of these tasty brews will leave you wanting more!  When it comes to food, you can’t miss the wood-fired pizzas. Their dough is made from scratch and undergoes a 48-hour cold fermentation process, resulting in pies that are both delicious and innovative.

Bozeman Brewing Company

Next up on our brewery tour is the Bozeman Brewing Company, affectionately known as Bozone or BBC. This charming spot has the distinction of being the very first brewery in Bozeman, opening its doors back in 2001. Locals absolutely adore their high-quality brews, and we’re confident you will too! It’s the perfect laid-back place to enjoy a cold one after an activity-filled day outdoors. And Bozeman Brewing Company isn’t just about crafting amazing beer; they’re passionate about giving back to the community and practicing sustainability. So, every time you enjoy a pint, you’re also supporting some fantastic causes. Cheers to that!

Must Try: One of BBC’s flagship offerings is the Bozone Amber Ale, an easy-drinking beer made with Montana-grown malted pale barley. It doesn’t get more local than that! We also love the rich and chocolatey Plum Street Porter and the light and crisp Saru Zen Rice Lager, both of which explore different sides of the flavor spectrum. They don’t serve food, but they do serve popcorn as a snack.

Bridger Brewing

Bridger Brewing is a spacious and inviting brewery with a relaxed vibe, perfect for hanging out with your favorite people. You'll love the roof patio, and there's often live music to enjoy. Their motto is “Montana beer at its peak,” and you can really taste that with every sip! All in all, Bridger Brewing is an easy, breezy place to grab a drink, enjoy a concert, people-watch, and make new friends.

Must Try: Bridger Brewing has numerous winners on tap, so it’s hard to pin down just one. If we had to, we’d recommend the citrusy and bright Lee Metcalf Wilderness Pale Ale and the clean and classic Primo Pilsner, both of which create a flavorful impression and are available all year long! When it comes to food, Bridger Brewing serves creative handmade pizzas, using as many local ingredients as possible. And there are gluten-free crusts available, too, so everyone can enjoy some tasty slices!
